Better Monitoring than Tencent Cloud Cost Center
Mof offers more efficient billing monitoring than Tencent Cloud Cost Center, helping you track expenses in real time, export data, set notifications, and optimize cloud resource costs.

Why manage Tencent Cloud costs with Mof
Many teams run CVM, COS, TencentDB and CDN on Tencent Cloud but can only review the bill at the account level inside the Billing Center. When resources are spread across projects and you also use Alibaba Cloud or AWS, answering “why did we spend more this month” or “which team owns this cost” means opening several consoles and exporting several spreadsheets.
Mof is a FinOps cost management platform for teams operating Chinese and global clouds. It connects to Tencent Cloud billing read-only through a CAM access key, keeps native project, operator and tag dimensions, then layers team allocation, unit cost and real-time alerts on top, so every yuan of Tencent Cloud spend is traceable, allocatable and comparable against your other clouds in one view.
Tencent Cloud Cost Monitoring
More Detailed Data and Clean Interface: Compared to Tencent Cloud Cost Center, Mof provides more precise cost data and real-time monitoring capabilities, allowing users to easily track changes in resource costs. Its clean and intuitive interface makes cloud cost management more efficient and helps avoid unnecessary waste.
Break costs down by service: Mof pulls Tencent Cloud spend through the DescribeBillDetail API and groups it by CVM, COS, TencentDB for MySQL, CLB and CDN while keeping the native project and tag dimensions, so you can quickly see which service or team is pushing the bill up.

Tencent Cloud Bill Export to Excel
Convenient Data Export Function: Mof supports one-click export of Tencent Cloud billing data to Excel format, making it easier for finance teams to perform in-depth analysis, auditing, and report generation. Compared to Tencent Cloud Cost Center, Mof’s export function is more straightforward, greatly improving work efficiency.
Consistent allocation in every export: exported spreadsheets carry the team, project and operator split you configured in Mof, so finance receives figures that are ready to book instead of re-splitting Tencent Cloud’s raw Billing Center data by hand at each month-end close.

Tencent Cloud Bill Notifications
Instant Expense Notifications: Users can set budget alerts through Mof. Once the budget is exceeded, the system will send real-time notifications to help you avoid unnecessary spending. This feature is missing in Tencent Cloud Cost Center, and Mof offers more efficient expense monitoring and notifications.
Route alerts to the right people: overspend alerts reach your team through WeCom, Lark, DingTalk and email, and thresholds can be set per project or operator, so an unexpected CVM or CDN spike is flagged the moment it happens rather than at month-end.

Custom Dashboard
Flexible Dashboard Customization: Mof offers a customizable dashboard feature similar to Grafana, allowing users to tailor the display of cloud expense data as needed. Unlike the fixed dashboard in Tencent Cloud Cost Center, Mof enables you to focus on the most critical cloud cost data.
One view across every cloud: the same dashboard can place Tencent Cloud spend next to Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud or AWS, giving leadership a single multi-cloud picture of where the money goes without switching between separate consoles.

View Unit Costs
Precise Unit Cost Analysis: Mof provides detailed cost analysis for each cloud service unit, helping you accurately understand the allocation and usage of resource costs. Tencent Cloud Cost Center does not support such detailed unit cost analysis.
Turn spend into business unit cost: Mof divides Tencent Cloud resource cost by orders, active users or API calls to produce cost per order and cost per user metrics, tying every yuan of engineering spend back to real business output.

Easily Allocate Cloud Costs
Intelligent Cloud Cost Allocation: Mof supports flexible allocation of cloud costs based on custom criteria such as teams, departments, or roles. Whether dealing with shared or independent resources, it ensures clear and accurate cost distribution, helping you better manage cloud expenses. Tencent Cloud Cost Center does not offer such flexible and precise allocation functionality.
Reuse native project and resource tags: allocation rules build directly on Tencent Cloud’s project and resource tags, and untagged shared resources such as a common CLB or database can still be split by custom ratios, answering the perennial question of whose cost a shared bill really is.

Tencent Cloud cost management FAQ
How is Mof different from Tencent Cloud’s Billing Center?
Tencent Cloud’s Billing Center focuses on bill queries and budgets for a single Tencent Cloud account. Mof adds three things on top: it consolidates Tencent Cloud with Alibaba Cloud, AWS and other clouds in one view; it allocates cost by team, project or business line for showback and chargeback; and it provides Grafana-like dashboards with real-time overspend alerts. For teams already using the Billing Center, Mof is the FinOps layer above it.
How does Mof connect to Tencent Cloud billing data?
You create a CAM access key with read-only billing permissions, and Mof uses it to pull consumption detail through the DescribeBillDetail API. No write permission is required and none of your Tencent Cloud resources are changed. The full steps are in the Tencent Cloud connection guide in the docs.
Does Mof support Tencent Cloud project and tag allocation?
Yes. Project (项目) and operator are common allocation dimensions on Tencent Cloud, and Mof keeps project, operator and tag as native dimensions. You can layer custom team or product allocation rules on top, and split untagged shared resources by ratio, so your reporting matches both Tencent Cloud’s structure and your internal accounting.
Which Tencent Cloud services are covered?
Major billable items sync into Mof with the bill, including CVM, COS, TencentDB for MySQL, CLB, CDN and public IP, so you do not need to configure each service separately.
