Baidu AI Cloud Cost Management: One Table, No Manual Merging

The Finance Center covers one cloud, and analyzing alongside other clouds means exporting and merging by hand. Mof unifies Baidu AI Cloud with your other clouds in one read-only table: Resource Center, anomaly detection, allocation and real payable.

Why teams use Mof to manage Baidu AI Cloud cost

Plenty of teams run BCC, BOS, cloud databases, BLB and CDN on Baidu AI Cloud, reading the bill in the Finance Center and allocating with tags and cost splitting. Once you also run Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Huawei Cloud or global clouds, “why did this cost more?” takes several places — and manual merging — to answer.

Mof is a FinOps platform for teams running more than one cloud — AWS, Azure and GCP alongside Alibaba, Tencent and other clouds most tools can’t reach. It connects to Baidu AI Cloud read-only, then layers on the Resource Center, virtual tags, anomaly detection and cost allocation — all in one view.

Three ways to read your Baidu Cloud bill — each with a catch

Finance Center, subscription / export, Bill API — each solves a piece, and each stays inside Baidu Cloud.

How Mof solves these

Connect read-only, unify Baidu Cloud with your other clouds, and add the Resource Center, virtual tags, anomaly detection and allocation.

It’s Baidu-only — Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Huawei Cloud and global clouds live in separate tools
Mof brings Baidu AI Cloud together with Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure and GCP — one table to view and compare.
To analyze alongside other clouds, the Finance Center is Baidu-scope only — you export and merge tables by hand
Mof connects read-only so every cloud’s bill sits in one table with one schema — no per-cloud export and manual stitching.
Billing fields differ across clouds, making a cross-cloud view harder
Mof normalizes billing fields into one clean schema — the same across Baidu Cloud and your other clouds, so you stop reconciling column by column.
Cost and utilization are viewed separately, so over-provisioned / idle instances are hard to spot
Mof’s Resource Center shows it in one place: inventory + utilization (P95) + real cost per resource + over-provisioned / idle / orphaned / stopped, across accounts and clouds.
Baidu Cloud bought through a reseller hides the real discounted payable
Mof supports custom discounts: it converts list pricing into your real payable, laying out billed, discount, saved and payable in one line.
With basic threshold alerts, spend spikes surface late
Mof’s anomaly detection (Holt-Winters) catches spikes in real time and pushes to Slack, email, DingTalk, Lark or WeCom, with thresholds per account / team.
Allocation leans on tags and cost splitting, shared resources are hard to divide, and cross-cloud schemas don’t align
Mof does showback by team / project / tag with one schema across clouds, splitting shared resources by your rules — then one-click Excel export.

Baidu AI Cloud cost management FAQ

How is Mof different from Baidu AI Cloud’s Finance Center?

The Finance Center handles single-cloud billing, allocation, cost breakdown and custom reports inside Baidu Cloud. Mof unifies Baidu Cloud with Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Huawei Cloud, AWS, Azure and GCP into one table with one schema, then adds the Resource Center (utilization + cost + waste), virtual tags, anomaly detection and reseller real payable.

For Baidu Cloud bought through a reseller, can Mof show the real payable?

Yes. Under a reseller the console may show list pricing, not your discounted cost. Mof supports custom discounts to compute the real payable, and clearly shows billed, discount, saved and payable.

How does Mof connect to Baidu AI Cloud billing data? Is it safe?

Through an IAM sub-user access key with read-only permissions (or a bill subscription). Mof reads billing and resources only — it needs no write access and changes nothing in your Baidu Cloud account.

Does it conflict with Baidu Cloud’s allocation and cost splitting?

No. Mof reuses your tags and account structure, and layers cross-cloud showback and virtual tags on top — shared resources split by your rules.

Which Baidu AI Cloud services does it cover?

BCC (compute), BOS (object storage), cloud databases, BLB (load balancing), CDN, public IPs and other major line items sync automatically — no per-service setup.
